Private Lessons

Personal one-on-one lessons are a crucial part of a child’s musical education and give them the greatest opportunity to excel and truly test their skill level. It also provides an ideal opportunity to invest in the student’s character.

Policies

Tuition

The monthly tuition amount is $117 for a 30 minute weekly private lesson; $165 for a 45 minute weekly private lesson. Very young beginners can have a 15 minute weekly private lesson for $75.Tuition includes music books.

Number of Lessons

There are 39 total lessons in the calendar year, 13 weeks that we don’t have lessons. The bills are pro-rated so that every month you pay the same amount as the 39 lessons are divided between the 12 months.

Tuition Due Date

We email the invoice to you around the 20th of the month. The monthly tuition is due by the first of the next month and can be turned in to your teacher at the last lesson of the month or mailed in by the first. (Many students take advantage of automatic bill pay and their bank sends it).

Sick Policy

If your child is sick please contact your teacher that morning and he/she will do their best to arrange a make-up lesson. This will also allow him to use your time-slot for a make-up lesson for someone else.

Missed Lessons

Each student is allowed 3 floating holiday misses per year of lessons you are not charged for. If you are going to be out of town and have already used your 3 misses please let your teacher know a week in advance and he will try to arrange a make-up lesson.

Discontinuation Notification

If you can’t continue lessons for some reason we need a month’s notice as we have a waiting list for students desiring to take.
